RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons is on the verge of completing a move to Tottenham Hotspur, with a medical scheduled after Spurs agreed a €60 million fee with the Bundesliga club.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham beat rivals Chelsea to the signing of the highly-rated Dutch midfielder, who had also been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge earlier in the summer.
Meanwhile, in another major development, Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku has arrived in Italy ahead of his switch to AC Milan.
Reports from Sky Italy confirm that Nkunku will undergo his medical today after Chelsea and Milan reached an agreement for a deal worth more than £36 million. The Frenchman is set to join the Serie A giants in the final days of the transfer window.
If finalized, these moves would represent two of the biggest deals of the summer, with Tottenham strengthening their attacking midfield options and AC Milan adding a proven forward to their squad.
