There will be a total of 15 Cape and Islands between baseball and softball represented in the MIAA state tournament.
The 11 baseball teams on the Cape and Islands continue to show why they have some of the best talent with four top 10 teams: Falmouth (No.4, D3), Dennis-Yarmouth (No. 3, D4), St. John Paul II (No. 5, D4) and Sandwich (No. 8, D4). Nauset, Martha’s Vineyard, Mashpee and Upper Cape will join them in hosting their first playoff game, while Barnstable, Nantucket and Cape Tech will hit the road to start their postseason.
Sandwich, Monomoy, Nauset and Sturgis will be the four teams to represent the Cape and Islands. Sandwich and Monomoy will start their playoff run at home, while Nauset and Sturgis will try to play upset on the road.
