The Philadelphia 76ers will have plenty of options to peruse as they look to make the right selection with the No. 22 pick in the draft. They have a new President of Basketball Operations in the form of former Cleveland Cavaliers GM Mike Gansey and will now look ahead to draft night on June 23.
As the Sixers move ahead, there are holes to fill on the roster. They could use more help off the bench as the second unit had its struggles in the playoffs and they could use help at the backup big man spot behind Joel Embiid going forward.
A mock draft put together by CBS Sports has the Sixers selecting Arizona big man Koa Peat at No. 22:
Peat is a relentlessly physical forward whose stock is hindered by a 3-point shot that was MIA during his lone college season at Arizona. But Peat will be able to hold his own against nearly anyone defensively from day one. If the outside shot comes along, Peat will be an NBA starter.
Peat averaged 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists as a freshman for the Wildcats in 2025-26 as he was able to make an impact despite not having much of a jumper. Sixers Wire did a full deep dive on Peat, which can be read here, and looked at his strengths, weaknesses, and potential fit on the Sixers.
