The Chargers selected former South Carolina defensive tackle Nick Barrett with the No. 145 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Los Angeles acquired this pick through a trade with the Browns, sending the No. 86 overall selection to Cleveland for three Day 3 picks, including No. 145.
Barrett, a 6-foot-3, 312-pounder, enters the NFL after a breakout redshirt senior season where he started all 12 games for the Gamecocks and posted 42 total tackles, six tackles for loss and two sacks.
Barrett specializes in stopping the run and shows some promise in his pass rush.
Barrett joins an overhauled Chargers defensive front featuring Teair Tart, Dalvin Tomlinson, Jamaree Caldwell and Justin Eboigbe.
