The Wolverines stayed hot in the recruiting trail on Saturday when 2027 four-star tight end Colt Lumpris flipped from Alabama to Michigan.

Lumpris had been committed to Alabama since December, but with the Crimson Tide hiring a new tight ends coach this offseason, that opened the door for other programs like Michigan to recruit him.

New head coach Kyle Whittingham and tight ends coach Freddie Whittingham prioritized Lumpris despite his pledge to the Crimson Tide. Those efforts were rewarded on Saturday with his flip to the Wolverines.

With Lumpris now committed, Michigan has 15 total commitments in the 2027 cycle, with Lumpris being the first tight end.

Lumpris is ranked No. 268 overall on the Rivals Industry Ranking. Check out his best junior season highlights below.
