An arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk in Northern California, per the California Post.
The warrant is for a “misdemeanor charge of exhibition of speed.” The charge stems from a video Aiyuk himself posted to his YouTube channel in December 2025, showing him speeding past Levi’s Stadium.
The video was taken from the wide receiver’s position in the driver’s seat and shows the speedometer. During the video, Aiyuk traveled more than 100 mph past the stadium.
When the video was released, the public reacted with a stark backlash over the lack of safety in it. The wide receiver apologized on social media for the video and said that any future car content wouldn’t feature any more speeding.
According to the California Post, even after Aiyuk’s public apology for the incident, the Santa Clara Police Department still conducted an investigation into the video. The office chose to forward the case to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office on January 15.
Nearly five months later, a warrant has been issued for Aiyuk on a misdemeanor speeding charge.
