6 most intriguing games on Denver Broncos’ 2026 schedule

At last, the Denver Broncos‘ 2026 schedule has finally arrived.

Officially, the Broncos have three prime-time games, plus two more standalone games on Black Friday and Christmas Day. Those games — plus a rematch of the 2025 AFC Championship — highlight the team’s 2026 schedule. Here’s a quick look at each matchup.

6 most intriguing games on Broncos’ schedule

6. Broncos @ Steelers (Week 12) on Black Friday: The Broncos will approach Thanksgiving on a short week after hosting the Raiders on Sunday. Five days later, Denver will go on the road to face the Steelers in a day-time Black Friday showdown. Aaron Rodgers is 2-2 against the Broncos in his career.

5. Seahawks @ Broncos (Week 6) on TNF: After going on the road to face the Chargers in Week 5, Denver will have a short week before turning around and hosting the defending Super Bowl champions on TNF. This will be a tough test for the Broncos as the team wraps up a brutal six-game stretch to start the season.

4. Broncos @ Chiefs (Week 1) on MNF: After sweeping Kansas City last season, Denver will open the season on the road against their division rival. The health of Patrick Mahomes (knee) will be a key storyline going into MNF.

3. Broncos vs. Rams (Week 3) on SNF: Seattle is the defending champion, but the Rams are considered the betting favorite to win the Super Bowl this season. It will be another tough prime-time showdown for the Broncos. Fortunately, the game will be played at Empower Field at Mile High.

2. Broncos vs. Bills (Week 16) on Christmas: Two years ago, Buffalo knocked Denver out of the playoffs in the Wild Card round. Last season, the Broncos defeated the Bills in the divisional round (and lost Bo Nix to a broken ankle in the process). Buffalo and Denver could have big playoff seeding implications on the line in this late-season matchup.

1. Broncos @ Patriots (Week 17): This might be the game of the season for the Broncos, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see if flexed into a prime-time spotlight if both teams are in playoff contention. Denver made it to the AFC title game last year before a close loss to New England with Jarrett Stidham filling in for an injured Nix. Many fans and pundits believe the Broncos would have reached the Super Bowl with a healthy Nix last season. Perhaps this rematch can add some validity to that argument.

Up next on Denver’s offseason schedule are organized team activities (OTAs), which are scheduled to begin in early June. The team’s training camp schedule is also expected to be announced in June, with practices beginning in late July and preseason games kicking off in August. Broncos football will be back soon.
