The 2026 NFL Draft will officially kick off in a few hours, and excitement is building throughout the league in anticipation of the next crop of talented players to see where they will call home.
The Tennessee Titans will pick fourth overall, a three-spot improvement from where they were in 2025, when they used the top pick on Miami quarterback Cam Ward. Ward has been everything the Titans had hoped for, and they will look to duplicate that success with another solid prospect this draft.
Looking back at the 2025 NFL Draft, Eva Geitheim of Sports Illustrated regraded Ward’s selection and the rest of the first round in that class.
1. Tennessee Titans, QB Cam Ward: B+
The Titans made the right decision drafting Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick. In a weak quarterback class, the Titans ensured they got the best one available and made value out of finishing the 2024 season with the league’s worst record.
Though Ward’s numbers aren’t great—he completed 59.8% of his passes for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns, and seven interceptions—he showed growth over the season while in a less-than-stellar situation, with his coach getting fired in Week 7. Ward’s talent is undeniable. With offensive coordinator Brian Daboll taking over the play-calling and an improved supporting cast, Ward should be able to take the next steps in his sophomore season.
Ward did struggle early in the season, but came on strong down the stretch before missing the majority of the season finale after injuring his shoulder. Ward quickly developed into the leader the Titans had hoped for with the selection.
