The New England Patriots might be looking for a tight end in the 2026 NFL Draft, and Georgia tight end Oscar Delp seems to be hoping he’s the pick that comes off the board.
He posted a picture of himself wearing a Patriots jersey in his Instagram story on Thursday.
The team traded up in the first round to get Utah offensive tackle Caleb Lomu with the 28th overall pick. They could be eyeing a tight end on Day 2 or Day 3 of the draft. Delp played a role in the Bulldogs’ offense, tallying 20 catches for 261 yards and a touchdown last season.
In the four seasons that he’s played at Georgia, he has tallied 70 receptions for 854 yards and nine touchdowns.

Could Delp be a Patriot in short order? Judging by his social media post, it seems like he welcomes the idea.
The Patriots could certainly use the help with a 31-year-old Hunter Henry as a starter, along with veteran Austin Hooper leaving in free agency. Delp, who stands at 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds, would give Patriots quarterback Drake Maye another receiving target, while also helping to provide adequate pass protection.
