2026 NFL draft: Tennessee Titans trade up to nab LB Anthony Hill

After trading away their second-round pick to move up and select Keldric Faulk in the first round, the Tennessee Titans made yet another trade on Day 2. This time, they gave up their third-round pick and one of their three fifth-round picks to land the 60th overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

With that pick, the Titans selected linebacker Anthony Hill out of Texas.

Hill joined the Texas Longhorns as an early enrollee in 2023 to take advantage of the team’s spring practices. He earned six starts during his freshman season and appeared in 14 games. He retained his starting role for the following two seasons, helping the Texans into the College Football Playoffs.

During his third and final season with the team, Hill recorded 70 tackles (38 solo, seven tackles for a loss), four sacks, three forced fumbles, two interceptions, and one pass defensed. And that’s with missing two games with a broken hand.

Hill is one of those rare players who profiles as a Day 2 prospect, but has the potential to make an immediate impact. He won’t begin the season as a starter, but he could very well earn that role before the season ends. He has solid instincts, he adjusts mid-play as needed, and he can add an extra presence on the edge.

He may start the season as a rotational piece for Gus Bradley’s defense, and even if that’s as far as it goes this fall, he still makes the linebackers’ room better. Learning from the Titans’ current players will mentor him so that he can make a clear impact in Year 2.
