Penn State’s all-time leading rusher now knows where he’ll play in the NFL.

Kaytron Allen, who spent four years running through Big Ten defenses, was picked 187th overall in the 6th round by the Washington Commanders.

Allen spent the better part of his career as the less heralded running back in the Fatman and Gatorade backfield with Nicholas Singleton.

But, in 2025, Allen emerged following the firing of James Franklin and wound up setting program records in career rushing yards (4,180) and carries (769). In his senior season, he played in 12 games and had 1,303 yards rushing, earning All-American and All-Big Ten honors.

Allen was mostly known as a punishing one-cut runner, but showed improved speed and elusiveness as a senior and helped spark Penn State to a three-game winning streak to close the regular season.

The former four-star recruit of the renowned IMG Academy in Florida teamed with Singleton to get the bulk of Penn State’s carries for the past four years. He’ll most be remembered for the tear that he went on starting with the Big Ten Championship Game against Oregon back in December 2024. Allen nearly helped lead Penn State to an impressive comeback and then the junior helped Penn State’s offense nearly reach the College Football Playoff championship game.

Good luck Kaytron in your NFL career.
