Who’s going to break the tape? The 17 candidates for the Daily News Fans Girls Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year are among the state’s most dominant athletes.
The list includes record breakers, state champions and multi-event stars.
There are 13 schools represented led by three from Hopkinton. Lincoln-Sudbury and Natick both have multiple options.

Our player of the year stories are meant as a way to highlight local high school athletes in the area. Making the list is an achievement in itself. Congratulations to all our athletes.
