The final week of the softball regular season is upon us as teams get primed for the postseason.
Meanwhile, track and field teams are hitting the home stretch as they prep for their own postseasons.
Here are this week’s nominees for Times Recorder Girls Athlete of the Week:
- Savannah Gambill, Coshocton softball … HR, 3 RBI and CG with 11 Ks in 8-2 win vs. Morgan; CGs in two wins vs. Maysville
- Calie Smith, West M softball … 3HR, 6 XBH in 4 games as team won 3 of 4 games
- Mia Metzger, New Lex softball … CG 2er in 7-2 win on April 30 at John Glenn.
- Larsyn Holdsworth, Tri-Valley softball … 6-for-10, 3D as team won 2 of 3.
- Ashlynn Kuklica, John Glenn track … Won 400, 800 and 1600 at Dan Adams Invitational on May 1.
- Bella Van Wey, Maysville track … Set new PR, broke own SR in discus vs. West M/Morgan; won shot and disc at Dan Adams Invite
- Elizabeth Cook, New Lex track … Won long jump, ran on winning 4×100 relay at Belpre Invite
- Brenna Moorehead, Sheridan track … Won 300H was 2nd in 100H at Dan Adams Invite.
