Georgia cashes in with 5-star tight end commitment

The Georgia Bulldogs have won the SEC in three out of the last four seasons and are looking to keep the good times rolling. The program received an important commitment for its 2027 recruiting class, landing five-star tight end Jaxon Dollar.

Clemson, Notre Dame, Miami and Texas were also in hot pursuit of Dollar, according to reports. But the atmosphere in Athens helped tip the scales for Dollar.

“Everybody at Georgia made it feel like home,” Dollar said, per the Charlotte Observer.

Dollar is a physical specimen, standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing just over 220 pounds. It’s early to predict his role with the Bulldogs, but it stands to reason that he could be a massive factor in the red zone.

Had Dollar not elected to play college football, he likely would’ve been a prized recruit on the hardwood. He had several 20-point games for East Lincoln High School during the hoops campaign.
