Apparently one shocking Luka Doncic trade wasn’t enough.
Ric Flair wants Doncic to be traded away from the Los Angeles Lakers now, less than 18 months after the Lakers swindled the Dallas Mavericks to acquire him.
Simply put, the WWE legend isn’t happy with Doncic’s injury absence.
Doncic has yet to play in the postseason, and the Lakers were handled comfortably on Tuesday night by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Defeating OKC was always going to be tough even if Doncic was healthy, but clearly the Slovenian star is not.
That didn’t stop Ric Flair from posting this on X to implore the Lakers to ship Doncic out of town:
Luka @lukadoncic, Please Get In The Game! Take A Shot Of Cortisone And Deal With The Pain! They Are Paying You 50 Million A Year, And You’re Not There! WTF! I Hope @JeanieBuss Trades You Next Year. Nobody Wants A Lame Duck On Their Team! pic.twitter.com/c5R2OvAltU

There’s definitely some joke for the taking here about someone from scripted entertainment having this take, but that’s a conversation for another day.
The tough part for fans of a team is that it’s hard to know just how much pain a player is in.
Playing in the NBA playoffs is absolutely grueling. It’s reasonable to believe that Doncic isn’t healed yet to the point of being able to get back into games.
The timing stinks, for sure. But to act like Doncic doesn’t want to play is pretty silly. And obviously the Lakers would want him in the game, too.
But hey, if Ric Flair was the GM, he’d pull a Nico Harrison.
