After the Boston Celtics blew a 3-1 series lead to the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the 2026 NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs, Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens took some time to sit down and assess the season and what Boston will need in the future with the media in a recent press conference.
The Celtics president touched on how the team exceeded expectations considerably in the 2025-26 NBA regular season, but also did not gloss over Boston’s shortcomings in the 2026 postseason. Stevens spoke candidly about what went wrong, how it might be fixed, and what fans ought to be encouraged by as well.
The folks behind the “NBC Sports Boston” YouTube channel put together a clip from their “Celtics Talk” podcast that had hosts Chris Forsberg and Tom Giles breaking down all that Stevens had to say in his end-of-season presser. Check it out below!
