Orlando comes into the game off a 24-23 road victory over the Houston Gamblers on Sunday, snapping a two-game losing streak despite being outgained 415-185 as the Storm took advantage of two Houston turnovers. D.J. James scored on a pick-six to put Orlando up 13-3 early in the second quarter, and Jack Plummer and Elijhah Badger connected on scoring passes of 35 and 31 yards.
The Renegades lost their fourth in a row last week, taking a 21-17 overtime road loss to the Birmingham Stallions. Ellis Merriweather ran for two scores, including the go-ahead touchdown from 15 yards out with 5:08 remaining, before Birmingham tied the game with two minutes to go. Austin Reed threw for 166 yards on 25-of-37 passing while the Dallas ground game picked up 130 yards.
Dallas enters Week 8 in a three-way tie with the Stallions and Louisville Kings for the fourth and final playoff spot, and Reed has thrown seven interceptions during the Renegades’ skid, though he was turnover-free last week. The Storm defense bent against Houston last week, but held the Gamblers to just 1-for-5 in the red zone.
This is a great UFL football matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
