Top 10 HS softball players of the week
1. McKenna Hackett, Xavier Prep, Jr.
In an 8-2 6A semifinal win over Pinnacle, she went 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs.
2. Aubrey Chavez, Queen Creek, Jr.
In a 6-1 6A semifinal win over Mesa Mountain View, she pitched a complete game, giving up three hits and one run, striking out 11, walking none.
3. Emma Shaffer, Canyon del Oro, Jr.
She hit two home runs and drove in four runs in a 5-4 5A semifinal win over Chaparral.
4. Arianna Figueroa, Marana Mountain View, Sr.
In a 7-5 5A semifinal win over Willow Canyon, she pitched a complete game and had two hits and two RBIs.
5. Torrence Salyer, Salpointe Catholic, So.
In a 4A semifinal rout of Cactus Shadows, she hit two home runs and drove in eight runs. She also hit a double.
6. Ace Heston, Mica Mountain, Sr.
In a 3-2 4A semifinal win over Paradise Honors, she pitched a complete game, striking out 14 and giving up three hits and walking one.
7. Claire Achilles, Tanque Verde, Jr.
The pitcher tossed a one-hitter in a six-inning, 10-0 3A championship victory over Yuma Catholic. She struck out 13 and walked one and had two hits at the plate.
8. Hattie Macumber, Willcox, Fr.
She pitched Willcox to a 5-3 win over Mohave Accelerated for the 2A championship. She gave up seven hits, one earned run, struck out seven and walked none. She also had two hits and two runs scored and an RBI.
9. Lilyana Milenaar, Willcox, Jr.
In the 2A championship win, she went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
10. Lorelai Sander, Joseph City, Sr.
In an 18-2 1A championship win over Superior, she gave up six hits and two runs in five innings and went 2-for-2 with an RBI at the plate.
