Houston Rockets 2025-26 player grades: Jeff Green

18-year NBA veteran Jeff Green, also known as Uncle Jeff, just finished up his third full season with the Rockets after winning an NBA title with the Denver Nuggets in 2023. A 16.9 point per game scorer at his peak, Green has had lots of success on plenty of different teams, having played for 11 franchises throughout his career.

At age 39, the Georgetown alum didn’t have a ton to offer Houston on the court, averaging 2.2 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 30 appearances, averaging 5.8 minutes per game. While Green’s 3-point percentage left a bit to be desired (27.3%), he wasn’t expected to be much of a contributor on the perimeter. Although Green’s player grade may seem generously high, this takes the intangibles into account. Year after year, the Rockets have continued to bring back Green for his locker room impact despite his declining play. Unfortunately for Houston, Green’s presence couldn’t solve a rift within the team that took place, which questioned Kevin Durant’s activity on the internet.

Overall grade: C+
