Summer is on the horizon, which means lots of baseball and blockbuster movie releases. One of the biggest movies coming up this summer is Marvel’s newest Spider-Man flick, Brand New Day, dropping on July 31.
The New York Mets pulled off a perfect crossover for baseball and Spider-Man on Tuesday night, and it involved one of the long-time actors of the franchise.
J.K. Simmons, Mets fan and the actor behind newspaper mogul J. Jonah Jameson, was in attendance for the New York game against the Cincinnati Reds. As the camera cut to Simmons, the crowd was able to see a very suspicious character over his shoulder reading an issue of The Daily Bugle.
As the paper dropped, everyone’s favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man appeared. Simmons was appropriately disgusted in true Jameson fashion.
“He’s a menace … I WANT SPIDER-MAN!”

The good news for Jameson, however, is there should now be plenty of pictures of Spider-Man for the paper.
