Who are the ITV pundits, commentators and presenters for Turkiye vs United States?

Howdy! Yee-haw! Cell phone! We assume you must be American to be even considering watching this one instead of flicking over to Paraguay vs Australia on ITV4 instead.

The United States’ meeting with Turkiye is effectively a non-event in competitive terms: the co-hosts already have first place locked down, while Turkiye are mathematically condemned to finish bottom whatever happens.

Still, ITV are pressing ahead with showing this one on ITV1 regardless – so who’s in the swanky New York rooftop studio? Automobile!

The game will take place all the way over on the other side of the country from the ITV crew, at SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles area, with kick-off set for 7pm local time (3am UK time).

Laura Woods will be the lead presenter for the viewers in the UK, with ITV’s coverage commencing at 2:30am.

Joining Woodsy, as we assume the ex-pros must call her, are three players who made successes of themselves around the world.

Juan Mata was part of the Spain side that won the World Cup in 2010 and Euro 2012, as well as picking up medals with Valencia Chelesa, Manchester United, Galatasaray and Vissel Kobe in a well-travelled career that currently has him in Australia with Melbourne Victory.

As chance would have it, Ange Postecoglou has his own Victory days in the rear view mirror too – as Nottingham Forest fans could have told you.

The former Australia manager likewise has a solid medal collection on several continents having lifted silverware in his home country, Japan, Scotland and most recently Tottenham.

Rounding out the pundit line-up is Bradley Wright-Phillips, whose itinerant but unremarkable centre-forward career in England gave way to an extremely prodigious spell playing in MLS, most notably with New York Red Bulls.

In the commentary booth, it’s Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon for this one.
