The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are on a roll entering the first road series in the second half of the International League baseball season. Here’s what fans need to know about their coming trip to the Nashville Sounds.

Series recap: The Jumbo Shrimp made a near-perfect start to the second half of the Triple-A season, taking five of six games from the first-half champion Memphis Redbirds. Jacksonville closed on a five-game winning run, allowing only 13 runs in all during the streak.
Highlight: Ethan O’Donnell’s two-run go-ahead double on June 27 helped the Jumbo Shrimp fight back from a three-run deficit to defeat Memphis 4-3.
Crustacean sensation: Kemp Alderman turned in an effective series for the Jumbo Shrimp. The outfielder/first baseman hit .316 against Memphis with two home runs and seven RBI, as well as drawing three walks.
On deck: The Sounds, Triple-A affiliates of the Milwaukee Brewers, finished close behind Memphis in the first-half standings and have opened the second half at .500. Nashville’s roster includes two of the Brewers’ top five prospect in outfielder Luis Lara and infielder/outfielder Jett Williams.
