Before the official NFL release in mid-May, we used artificial intelligence to predict the 2026 schedule for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Per Sharp Football Analysis, the Steelers are ranked No. 18 in strength of schedule heading into 2026, set to face off against fearsome competition like the Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots.
Here is a look at the AI-predicted 2026 schedule for the Steelers, where they compete in four primetime matchups and have an ideal bye week.
- Week 1: vs. Cleveland Browns
- Week 2: at Philadelphia Eagles (Sunday Night Football)
- Week 3: vs. Atlanta Falcons
- Week 4: at New England Patriots
- Week 5: vs. Baltimore Ravens (Monday Night Football)
- Week 6: at Jacksonville Jaguars
- Week 7: vs. Indianapolis Colts
- Week 8: at Cincinnati Bengals
- Week 9: Bye week
- Week 10: vs. Carolina Panthers
- Week 11: at Cleveland Browns (Thursday Night Football)
- Week 12: vs. Houston Texans
- Week 13: at Tennessee Titans
- Week 14: vs. Cincinnati Bengals (Sunday Night Football)
- Week 15: at New Orleans Saints
- Week 16: vs. Denver Broncos
- Week 17: at Baltimore Ravens (Sunday Night Football)
- Week 18: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
What jumps off the page right away — hilariously enough — is that AI predicted the Steelers to face a divisional opponent in four out of their five primetime matchups. And while that’s highly unlikely for the official NFL schedule release, it highlights the high-stakes, competitive nature of the AFC North.
Overall, the AI-predicted schedule did a pretty good job of balancing easier and more difficult matchups throughout the season, with arguably the toughest stretch of games coming in Weeks 4-6 against the Patriots, Ravens and Jaguars.
We at Steelers Wire will continue to update fans as more information about the official NFL schedule release becomes available, with news potentially arriving as early as next week.
