Arsenal target denies he has reached Gunners agreement amid Liverpool interest

Arsenal are yet to agree a deal to sign teenage midfielder Andria Bartishvili, despite reports claiming otherwise.

The 17-year-old is a target for the Gunners this summer after earning rave reviews in his native Georgia.

However, Bartishvili has appeared to shut down claims he has already agreed a £4.5million move to the Emirates Stadium.

Reports emerged over the weekend suggesting a deal had been finalised for the Georgia Under-21 international.

Bartishvili, who is currently on loan at Iberia 1999 from Kolkheti Poti, has already made 35 senior appearances.

Since moving to Iberia 1999 for the 2026 season, he has scored twice and provided two assists for the club.

His loan deal runs until the end of the year, whilst any transfer overseas would be delayed until next year.

Bartishvili is unable to join a club in England until after he turns 18 in March 2027.

Gunner get ya?

Following reports of Arsenal’s deal to sign Bartishvili, the player has reshared a post denying those claims.

A Georgian reporter had taken to social media to reveal whilst talks are ongoing, the Gunners have not agreed a transfer.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and French side Paris FC are also working on a move for the youngster.

Bartishvili is said to have identical offers from the two Premier League clubs.

However, Paris FC are offering guaranteed first-team action for the youth international.

The report adds that Bartishvili and his representatives will make a final decision after Iberia 1999’s upcoming Champions League tie.

His current club face Estonia’s Flora Tallinn in the first qualifying round next month.

Bartishvili reshared the post detailing the report to his Instagram story in response to the claims.
