Atlanta Falcons sign Georgia Bulldogs RB

Georgia Bulldogs running back Cash Jones has signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent. Jones was a member of the Dawgs’ back-to-back national championship winning teams in 2021 and 2022. The talented running back will stay home following his deal with the Falcons.

Jones was a contributor in the Dawgs’ backfield across the past five seasons. The running back recorded 195 rushing yards and a touchdown during his final season in Athens, as Jones flashed his potential on numerous occasions, especially as a receiver, throughout his time at Georgia. The former Bulldog could be a beneficiary of playing behind superstar RB Bijan Robinson next season, as Jones was not picked in the 2026 NFL draft.

Jones is regarded as one of the better undrafted players following the conclusion of the draft. The former Georgia star could turn heads in Atlanta, as a strong performance in training camp could go a very long way for Jones, who hopes to make the Falcons’ 53-man roster. Jones will hope to begin his rookie campaign as Atlanta’s third-string running back behind both Robinson and Brian Robinson Jr., as the former Bulldogs’ star will look to pick up right where he left off with the Falcons.

Georgia had a multitude of former players selected during the 2026 NFL draft this weekend. Star TE Oscar Delp was selected with the 73rd overall pick in the third round by the New Orleans Saints, while WR Zachariah Branch was drafted by the Falcons and will play alongside Jones once again.
