The final began with Potter racing into a 2-0 lead, before Beeton halved the deficit in Leg Three with a 17 dart hold of throw to trail 2-1 in a race to five. Potter then won back-to-back legs again which saw the 22-year-old move 4-1 ahead and within one of victory. Beeton then created an incredible comeback by rattling off four successive legs and sealing victory in the ninth and deciding leg with a 21 darter to pick up a maiden PDC title as well as collecting the £3,000 top prize.
In Event Seven, Leon Weber was victorious with the German reaching the final firstly by recording victories against Flynn Fitzgibbon, Charlie Box, Mason Whitlock, Connor Hopkins, JJ Wright, Ieuan Halsall and Angelo Balsamo, to set up a clash with compatriot, Dominik Gruellich.
The final began with four straight breaks of throw between the pair ending with Weber holding throw for the first time in Leg Five with a 12 darter. This was then followed by back-to-back legs won by Weber in 18 and 14 darts to seal a 5-2 victory and clinch a second Development Tour title of his career.
