The NFL schedule release video has become the Super Bowl for NFL social media teams, essentially, and it is no different for the Cincinnati Bengals’ social media squad. Some teams use it as a chance to crack jokes, and some teams are more serious.
While they went with a more serious, motivating approach, the Bengals creators did take a chance to take a hilarious jab at the Baltimore Ravens.
In announcing the Week 7 matchup in Baltimore, the video starts with a clip of Joe Burrow with Maxx Crosby before saying, “We’re division rivals. You can’t back out of this one,” which is a shot at Baltimore for backing out of the trade for Crosby back in March.
The Ravens claimed it was due to a failed physical, while others have speculated that they backed out to sign Trey Hendrickson and keep their two first-round picks.
Either way, it was a funny addition to the video that we as fans can appreciate.
