Boston Celtics home of TD Garden atop new NBA player poll of most passionate arenas

If you have ever been lucky enough to see a playoff game in TD Garden it won’t surprise you the regard players held the Boston Celtics home arena in for a recent player poll conducted by the Athletic. According to said poll, in fact, the Celtics home arena won comfortably of all league arenas for the building with the most passionate fans in the NBA.

TD Garden landed 20.5 percent of the overall vote to come in first, with the New York Knicks home arena of Madison Square Garden not far behind with 19.3 percent of the vote. The Oklahoma City Thunder home arena of Paycom Center came in third overall with 18 percent, and the San Antonio Spurs home building of Frost Bank Center logged a respectable 5.3 percent of the vote.

A six-way tie at 3.1 percent of the vote between the arenas of the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Sacramento Kings for fifth place.

Sixth place was another multi-arena pileup at 1.9 percent between the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Portland Trail Blazers, and Utah Jazz.
