The NFL released its 2026 schedule in full on May 14. Now, football fans everywhere know exactly who and when their favorite teams will play during the upcoming campaign.
That said, the most important information revealed during the schedule release might actually be about when each of the NFL’s 32 teams isn’t playing in 2026.
Per usual, each NFL team will get a bye week in 2026. They will begin during Week 5 of the season and run through Week 14 of the campaign.
At least two teams will be off for nine of those 10 weeks. The lone exception in that span will be Week 12, when all 32 teams will be in action as part of the NFL’s Thanksgiving week action.
Week 11 will feature the greatest concentration of bye weeks, with six teams out of action. That will earn it the “Byemageddon” moniker among fantasy football managers.
