The Cleveland Browns have struggled a lot lately, as the franchise has felt cursed since the departure of Baker Mayfield and the addition of Deshaun Watson.

But there is some optimism showing up for the team, and the strong 2026 NFL Draft class is one of the main reasons why. One of those picks, Round 1 wide receiver KC Concepcion, is already off to a good start.

On Monday, Concepcion made two appearances, one at the Cleveland Guardians game and another at the Cleveland Cavaliers game. He threw out the first pitch and pulled out the sword. And both Cleveland teams won their respective games.

Cleveland sports teams are 2-0 with KC Concepcion

As Yahoo Sports highlighted in their Twitter/x post, “Browns rookie KC Concepcion was ACTIVE in Cleveland on Monday. He threw out the first pitch at the Guardians game and pulled the sword before the Cavs’ playoff game.”

It was a busy Monday for Concepcion, a few weeks after being drafted. And for the Browns’ rookie receiver, he brought some good luck to Cleveland sports teams on Monday.

The Cavaliers beat the Detroit Pistons 112-103 to even the Eastern Conference second-round matchup at 2-2. The Cavs went on a 24-0 run in this game to break it wide open and hold onto their lead in a very important Game 4.

Earlier in the day, the Guardians faced off against the Los Angeles Angels, and Concepcion threw out the first pitch. Afterwards, the Guardians won 7-2 to get back above .500, and build a 1.5 game lead in the AL Central.

Concepcion hasn’t actually played a game for the Browns yet this season, but his presence has already seen two wins come to the Cleveland Sports teams.

While it’s not like Concepcion actually contributed to either game, he did bring some good luck, which feels like a good omen for his chances to succeed with the Browns.
