Caitlin Clark comically flips script on reporters during Fever Media Day

During Indiana’s Media Day on April 22, former Iowa women’s basketball legend and current Fever franchise cornerstone Caitlin Clark chose to comically flip the script on reporters at the podium by making them partake in her own photo opportunity, instead of the media members snapping photos of the two-time WNBA All-Star.

After answering a series of questions from members of the media, the 24-year-old point guard gathered the group of reporters for a photo using her silver Contax T2 film camera, which featured a Carl Zeiss lens.

“Oh wait, I have a question,” she said. “Can you guys all go stand over there? I’m going to get you on my film camera. Ok? You can be featured. You guys always take photos of me, so go over there, act like you like each other. And you’re going to smile for me, OK? Smile a bit.”

“This is from like the 1990’s. It’s not that good. It’s digital. All right, if some of you don’t make it, don’t be mad at me. You don’t wanna squeeze in. They’re not gonna bite.”

Clark, who is back to full health following an injury-riddled 2025 campaign, hopes to propel the Fever to even greater heights in her third professional season and potentially bring the franchise its second league crown in early October.

Clark and the rest of the Fever squad kick off preseason action on April 25 with a matchup from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., against the New York Liberty at 2 p.m. CT. The 2026 regular season slate for Indiana starts on May 9 with their home opener against the Dallas Wings at noon CT.
