Caleb Williams versus Sam Darnold is Monday Night highlight in Week 8

The Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks won’t meet in Week 1 as many NFL fans wanted. The NFL still delivered a primetime game between the two teams, but it will be in Week 8 on Monday Night Football. This clash will feature a matchup between two former USC Trojan quarterbacks, Caleb Williams and Sam Darnold.

The Seattle Seahawks defense gave Caleb Williams fits in his rookie season as the final score ended 6-3. Although Caleb Williams struggled for the majority of the game, he still showed some flashes of being the quarterback he now is. He is still growing and maturing. The Seahawks will see a different version of him, a version that is now being coached by Ben Johnson.

Former Trojans Leonard Williams, Uchenna Nwosu, and Brandon Pili will be up to the challenge to limit what Caleb Williams can do in the pocket. They and the rest of Seattle’s defense held Caleb Williams counterpart, Drake Maye, in check in the Super Bowl. It will be interesting to see if they can do the same to Caleb again.

I do not see this game ending with a final score like 6-3, and it could be a high-scoring match. The Seahawks showed in their matches vs the Los Angeles Rams that they can put up points. A game featuring both USC quarterbacks lighting it up would be quite the sight.

I think Caleb Williams and Sam Darnold will both light it up in this one, and both quarterbacks will be the deciding factor on whether or not their team will come out victorious. USC will be heavily represented on this Monday night.
