Carson Beck fell to the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft in April before being selected by the Arizona Cardinals. And he thinks the other teams in the NFL made a serious mistake by passing him over.
When speaking with reporters during press availability at Cardinals facilities, Beck recently weighed in with his opinion on getting passed over in the first two rounds of the draft. And he delivered an impactful message to every team that skipped him over when addressing the snub.
“A lot of teams are going to regret passing on me,” Beck said. “I’ve always believed I’m QB1 in this draft, and now I get the chance to prove it with the Cardinals. Super Bowl expectations start now. Some teams are gonna wish they trusted the tape more.”

Beck is coming off a season that saw him named a third-team All-ACC selection while helping lead the Miami (FL) Hurricanes to a College Football Playoff National Championship appearance, so, understandably, he feels a bit disrespected by falling to the third round of the draft.
If he’s looking to prove his worth, the first step will be winning the starting job, as the news also broke on Thursday that the Cardinals have informed Jacoby Brissett he will be the starter next year, and Beck will be battling veteran Gardner Minshew for the backup role.
