High school sports fans can vote for which softball players they think were standouts during the previous week.
The poll will be open from Wednesday through Tuesday. The winner will be announced on Wednesday along with the new poll. Votes are unlimited.

Votes must be cast via the Cape Cod Times website/mobile sites. Votes submitted via email and social media will NOT be accepted. To vote for this week’s Player of the Week, scroll down on this page.

Sophie Farrington, Sandwich
Farrington won her first poll of the season with 46% of the votes.. She struck out 12 batters in a 4-0 victory over Nauset.
This week’s candidates
Ellie Bennett, Falmouth
Bennett went 4-for-4 with two runs scored in a 5-4 win over Barnstable. She also pitched seven innings for the Clippers and recorded eight strikeouts.
Brooke Chicoine, Dennis-Yarmouth
Chicoine went yard in a 24-8 win over Mashpee.
Katherine Connolly, Nauset
Connolly finished with four RBIs on two hits in a 17-5 win over Falmouth.
Cassidy Conway, Sturgis
Conway had four hits and one run in a 16-12 win over Nantucket.
Meadow Diede, Upper Cape
Diede had a three-run home run in a 10-2 win over South Shore Tech.
Sophie Farrington, Sandwich
Farrington struck out 11 for her 14th win of the season in a 16-1 win over Falmouth.
Farrington, alongside Joanna Nunes, threw a combined no-hitter in a 18-0 win over D-Y.
Madison Flynn, Barnstable
Flynn pitched 6 1/3 innings with 11 strikeouts to surpass 100 on the season in a loss to Falmouth.
Caroline Geake, Bourne
Geake was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored as the Canalmen defeated Mashpee 21-3.
Kate Huse, Monomoy
Huse finished 3-for-4 with one RBI as the Sharks beat Sturgis 17-3.
Brynn Kew, Nauset
Kew (three RBIs) hit a three-run home run to center field, and pitched two innings of relief and struck out six in a victory over Falmouth.
Addison Losh, Mashpee
Losh was 3-for-5 with three RBIs as the Falcons beat Nantucket 16-13.
Kiley Mawn, Monomoy
Mawn went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs in a 12-0 victory over Nauset. She now has 100 career hits.
Ryley Mayo, Sturgis
Mayo had three hits, two runs and one home run as Sturgis beat Nantucket.
Joanna Nunes, Sandwich
Nunes and Farrington threw a combined a no-hitter in a victory over D-Y.
McKenzie O’Connell, Mashpee
O’Connell went 4-for-4 with seven RBIs, one double and four runs in a win over Nantucket.
Emily Ormon, Dennis-Yarmouth
Ormon drew three of her team’s 18 walks and collected three hits in a 23-7 victory over Martha’s Vineyard.
She also hit a home run in a win over Mashpee.
Carmyn Sanders, Dennis-Yarmouth
Sanders hit a home run as the Dolphins defeated Mashpee.
Kenley Thomas, Upper Cape
Thomas was 4-for-5, including a two-run triple, as the Rams beat Cape Tech 11-8.
Nola Timo, Bourne
Timo went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Mashpee.
Harper Wade, Nauset
Wade had three hits, one double and two RBIs in a win over Falmouth.
Elsa Weisner, Sturgis
Weisner recorded three hits and three runs in a victory over Nantucket.
