The Los Angeles Clippers have found some success on the court, though it’s definitely not unfair to suggest that they haven’t played the type of basketball they were hoping for when they made deals for Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and other stars they either still have on the roster or have moved on from.

Leonard is definitely the most intriguing player of all, as the 34-year-old has remained one of the NBA’s better players despite some injuries.

Leonard, who has one year remaining on his contract, might even be a trade candidate because of how well he’s played despite those injuries.

According to the latest, there’s reason to believe the Clippers could actually move on from him, despite some of their previous comments about keeping him on the roster.

“Kawhi Leonard, Clippers. (Remaining contract: one year, $150 million.) The Clippers say they’re not trading him. But logic dictates they should consider it,” Sean Deveney of Heavy wrote.

The Clippers have some tough decisions to make in the next few weeks to months, with Leonard being one of them.

They also hold the fifth overall pick, which could give them a chance to reset the organization and try to bring in a young star to be the future of this team. In that event, it wouldn’t be the worst idea to move on from Leonard to get more draft capital.
