Apr. 27—BEMIDJI — The final home weekend for the Bemidji State softball team was a tough one.
The Beavers were swept on Senior Day by No. 22 Winona State (42-7, 21-3 NSIC) on Saturday, losing games 10-3 and 15-2. On Sunday, BSU lost 12-1 in five innings against Minnesota State (29-21, 16-10 NSIC), then 12-2 in the doubleheader finale.
Final innings were a struggle for Bemidji State over the weekend. The Beavers allowed 18 runs in the three seventh innings they played combined.
BSU (10-39, 4-22 NSIC) will take one more road trip before the season comes to a close. It will play a road doubleheader on May 2 at Concordia-St. Paul, before playing two more games at St. Cloud State on May 3.
