The Dallas Cowboys have reached a milestone in their 2026 offseason preparation. A bit later than many other NFL teams, but the Cowboys kick off their organized training activities, better known as OTAs on Monday, June 1. While still voluntary, these are a huge step up in importance compared to the workouts that have been taking place. So much so, it’s branded as Phase Three.
Brian Schottenheimer’s coaching staff gets a chance to work with their squads doing 7-on-7, 9-on-9 and 11-on-11 drills. Even though there’s no contact, the installation of the changes to the scheme are taught on the field, which means it’s pivotal for Christian Parker as the new defensive coordinator. There will be pics, videos and the likes, so it’s important for fans to know which jersey numbers belong to which players.
Dallas has done a ton of moving numbers around over the last few weeks, so even those finely tuned in fans could use a refresher.
