Detroit Lions rookie contract details: NFL draft pick LB Jimmy Rolder

After being selected in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, linebacker Jimmy Rolder has signed his rookie contract with the Detroit Lions.

Rolder, one of two Lions draft picks from Michigan, signed a four-year, $5.5 million deal that includes a $1.15 million signing bonus. Per Spotrac, Rolder’s 2026 salary cap hit is $1.17 million.

Rolder totaled 118 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks, and one interception throughout his collegiate career with the Wolverines. The 6-foot-2, 238-pound linebacker led Michigan with 73 tackles last season.

As Jack Campbell, Derrick Barnes, and Malcolm Rodriguez are currently projected to earn starting roles, Rolder will compete with Damone Clark, Trevor Nowaske, and Joe Bachie for a reserve role on the team.
