The Los Angeles Chargers will be one of the teams that I’ll be keeping a close eye on in 2026, mainly because of the Justin Herbert-Mike McDaniel tandem.
But the franchise has also gotten some key players through the doors in Tyler Biadasz, Dalvin Tomlinson, David Njoku, along with draftees Jake Slaughter and Akeem Mesidor.
Is that enough for the Chargers to seriously challenge? If injures stay away, you can make that case, but the Chargers haven’t exactly had the best run with the injury gods.
But for all of L.A.’s offseason moves, how should we grade it?
CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullivan has given the Chargers a B grade.

Can Chargers challenge after offseason additions?
Absolutely they can, but the biggest thing is can they stay healthy?
Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater will be returning, which will be a big boost, plus Justin Herbert’s offensive line has gotten better elsewhere with Biadasz and Slaughter. Plus, Njoku will offer something in the passing game.
While the defense should be among the better units in football again, so for me, everything is in place.
But…
How Herbert fares with McDaniel for me, will be the deciding factor in how far the Chargers go in 2026.
