Eagles-Commanders road slate most ideal matchups for Seahawks in 2026?

The NFL is set to release the regular season schedules for all 32 teams in the league for the 2026 season on Thursday, creating anticipation for how advantageous the Seattle Seahawks’ slate of games will be.

According to CBS Sports’ Bryan DeArdo, the most ideal matchups that the Seahawks have the chance to see on their schedule is a a back-to-back slate against the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders.

“Since the Seahawks have to go to the East Coast, it would make sense for them to make one trip instead of two while playing Philadelphia and Washington in back-to-back games,” DeArdo said. “It’ll be interesting to see if the NFL obliges.”

The Eagles and the Commanders are two of three teams that the Seahawks will play on the road in 2026 that play on the East Coast. Seattle will also play the Carolina Panthers as part of their road slate.

The Seahawks won their regular season matchup against the Commanders last season. They did not play the Eagles.
