The Philadelphia Eagles signed senior advisor to the general manager/chief security officer/gameday coaching operations Dom DiSandro (AKA Big Dom) and assistant general manager Jon Ferrari to contract extensions, according to multiple reports.

The team is expected to officially announce more front office changes in the coming days. For now, we know two key members of the Eagles are staying in Philly. Not that there was any expectation otherwise.

Big Dom originally joined the Eagles in 1999, so, he’s coming up on 30 years of Eagles employment. Evidenced by lengthy job title, DiSandro wears a lot of hats in the organization. Among many other duties, he does background checks on potential new additions to the roster. The Eagles very much value his skills and connections. And he’s become much more visible and popular amongst fans in recent years.

Ferrari is another highly valued member of the Eagles’ organization. His assistant GM title allows the team to block him from leaving for lateral positions; he can only be hired away if he receives a promotion that includes full general manager power (control over roster moves and such).

With the Eagles losing Alec Halaby and other key executives over the past several months, they must be happy to be retaining DiSandro and Ferrari.

It’ll be interesting to see what other changes are in store whenever the Eagles announce them in the near future.
