Everton, Brighton, and Sunderland are all keeping tabs on CA Osasuna defender Enzo Boyomo, according to Diario de Noticias de Navarra, via Sport Witness. The 24-year-old Cameroon international has a €25m release clause, and local sources claim at least some of these English sides are ready to pay up, though the report doesn’t specify which ones.
Everton eye a La Liga centre-back with a €25m price tag this summer
Ipswich Town and Italian club Como are also in contention; Sport Witness noted last month that Ipswich even sent a scout to watch Boyomo in person. That same scout was back in the stands against Barcelona last weekend. With Sunderland recently clinching promotion back to the Premier League this season, the race for his signature is getting crowded.
Osasuna, sensing the growing buzz, are already worried about losing him and have started looking for replacements. Any deal hinges on a club meeting his full release clause, a detail also confirmed by AS. Transfermarkt currently values Boyomo at €20m, and he’s under contract until 2029 with the agency All Iron Sports. So far this season, he has clocked 2,305 minutes over 27 games, including a start in the Copa del Rey.
Do Everton actually need Boyomo badly enough to spend €25m on him this summer?

Everton are set to kick off the 2026/27 season in their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, and there is massive pressure to put together a competitive squad from day one. As it stands, the club have some big question marks at centre-back heading into the summer. Boyomo reads the game well, holds his own in the air, and is a composed, left-footed defender, the exact type of player most modern backlines are looking for.
However, he is used to Osasuna’s structured La Liga system, and the Premier League’s pace and constant transitions would be a major jump in intensity. That makes this a bit of a gamble for Everton. Since the €25m price tag is non-negotiable, they would be placing a heavy bet on a player who hasn’t been tested in English football yet. Everton simply cannot afford another slow start.
