Fabrizio Romano Drops Major Liverpool Transfer Update
After a record-breaking spending spree last year, Liverpool are expected to be very busy once again this summer.
Last year saw the arrivals of Giorgi Mamardashvili, Jeremie Frimpong, Giovanni Leoni, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak.
Now, with Mohamed Salah confirming his exit, another huge move is needed. A forward to replace the Egyptian King is the main priority this summer.
RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and PSG’s Bradley Barcola are the two names heavily linked with a move to Anfield and Fabrizio Romano has provided the latest update…
What did Romano say?
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said: “If Yan Diomande goes to PSG, then Bradley Barcola could really leave this summer. It’s a possibility.”
“Liverpool wanted him in August 2025 and they are still there. They are still interested. Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola are the two main names for Liverpool.”
“For Barcola, there is also Arsenal. They appreciate the player. But I expect movement around these two players – Diomande and Barcola.”
Both of these players would be seen as a major addition to Liverpool’s squad next season. Based on Romano’s reporting, there seems to be a good chance that one of Diomande or Barcola will be in a Liverpool shirt next season.
Replacing Salah is never going to be easy, but these are two players with incredibly high ceilings in terms of potential, but also with plenty to offer immediately upon arrival.
Neither player will come cheap, likely in the region of £70m/£80m, but the current hierarchy haven’t showed any glimpses of being put off by such big price tags.
