Los Angeles Rams fans are not happy with general manager Les Snead, and not just because he picked Ty Simpson in the first round. His attire in the draft room on Saturday drew the ire of the fanbase.
The Rams shared a video of Snead calling CJ Daniels to let him know he was being picked by Los Angeles, doing so while wearing a Colorado Avalanche jersey. Why is that a bad look? Because the Avalanche are playing the LA Kings in the NHL playoffs and currently lead Los Angeles in the series, 3-0.
Snead wasn’t the only one supporting the Kings’ opponent, either. Other staff members were wearing Avalanche jerseys, too.

Rams owner Stan Kroenke also owns the Avalanche (and other Denver sports teams like the Nuggets), so that’s the reason for the jerseys, but it’s still poor optics given the circumstances.
Here are some of the reactions on social media.
Really REALLY bad look as the Avs are up 3-0 on the Kings.

Why the hell are they wearing Avalanche sweaters? Way to support the Kings.

KSE ownership of the Avs be dammed, this is a tough look guys 👎👎👎👎👎👎

Les, I don’t care that your boss owns the Avalanche, you are representing LA and our hockey team is playing against them in the playoffs. Not cool. Same with the guy being slick rocking the Nordiques jersey.

Don’t care who Stan owns, lose the jerseys.

I get that they share an owner, but when you’re struggling for a home field advantage, supporting the team playing vs LA is counter productive.

It’s hard to blame fans for being upset about Snead’s outfit, especially during an important weekend like the draft.
