The 2025 New York Jets were one of the worst teams in the entire NFL, and were just as bad for Fantasy Football managers. Only Breece Hall was productive, and even he was a risky play week in and week out.
But, with Geno Smith now at the helm, and a few additions this offseason in first-round rookies in tight end Kenyon Sadiq and wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr., there is a bit more optimism for this Jets team from an NFL and Fantasy perspective.
While there’s more optimism, where will these two Jets’ rookies go in a Fantasy draft this year? ESPN conducted a 10-team mock draft a week after the NFL Draft, and in it, there is a clear leader between Cooper and Sadiq in Fantasy at the moment.
Jets’ value of rookies for Fantasy revealed by ESPN
At the 103rd overall pick, ESPN’s Matt Bowen took Omar Cooper Jr. as the 49th wide receiver off the board in Round 11 of this mock draft.
Rickey Pearsall went at 101, and Khalil Shakir was taken right after at the 104th pick. Among rookie WRs, he went after Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson, Makai Lemon, and KC Concepcion.
Cooper was a productive WR at Indiana, and with Garrett Wilson ahead of him on the depth chart in a very questionable Jets offense, it’s not a surprise that Cooper is a bit further down than some other players with clearer roles.
With the Jets’ 30th overall pick in Cooper, valued as a bench WR by ESPN in Fantasy, where does their 16th overall pick in Sadiq, the TE, fall?

Well, Sadiq wasn’t actually taken in this mock draft. Across 16 rounds in a 10-team league (160 picks), Sadiq went undrafted. Tucker Kraft, coming off an ACL injury, was the last TE taken as the 13th one off the board.
It’s a fascinating result, as the Jets’ first-round tight end, in theory, should be a valuable commodity this season. But, as seen with Colston Loveland last year, it can take a TE a bit of time to get going. Tyler Warren and Kyle Pitts are outliers.
Sadiq would be a better depth option in larger leagues, as his floor is very low in a Jets offense where he has to compete with Wilson, Cooper, and Hall for touches.
The Jets’ presence in this mock draft from ESPN had Wilson as the No. 27 pick, Hall as the No. 30 pick, and lastly Cooper at No. 103.
