Final 2025-26 Philadelphia 76ers player grades: Dominick Barlow

The 2025-26 season is in the books for the Philadelphia 76ers, which means it is the time to look back on the season that was for each player. The Sixers finished 45-37 and as the No. 7 seed for the Eastern Conference playoffs before upsetting the Boston Celtics in Round 1 and falling to the New York Knicks in Round 2. They had to battle through a tough season injury-wise, but there were some good moments for everybody on the roster.

Up next in this series is Dominick Barlow. The Sixers signed Barlow to a two-way deal in the 2025 offseason and played well enough to earn himself a standard deal around the trade deadline. The 4-year man from Overtime Elite played in 71 games, starting 59 of them, and did all of the little things that help a team be successful on the floor.

For Barlow, here is a review of his 2025-26 season:

Barlow’s season in review

There were a lot of positives to Barlow’s season. He made all of the hustle plays for the Sixers and provided a real defensive presence. His numbers don’t show it, but Barlow was terrific defensively. He was always in the right spots, moved his feet well, was able to switch at the right time and defend quicker guards on the perimeter, and was an energetic player on a nightly basis. He was a positive player for the Sixers from the jump and made a big difference in most games.

His playoff run was limited as he adjusted to the intensity of the level of play. It was his first playoff run, after all, but he had some good moments. Particularly, in Game 2 against the Knicks. He had some great defensive moments against New York star Jalen Brunson and helped Philadelphia stay in that game all the way to the end. These are moments that will help him grow as a player.

Final grade

The Sixers got more than what they could have hoped for with Barlow. He was terrific in a number of ways and helped Philadelphia stay afloat when it was hit with injuries. He had some tough playoff moments, for sure, but Barlow showed up every day, brought energy, put his hard hat on, and went to work. He is a player that most teams need in order to be successful.
