Former Florida LB Ventrell Miller named to PFF all-breakout team

Florida football alumnus and 2023 fourth-round draft pick Ventrell Miller was named to Pro Football Focus’ all-breakout team this week. The Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker was identified among NFL defenders with the potential to have a star-making 2026 campaign.

Highlighting Miller’s efficiency and strong play last season, PFF suggests this cycle could bring an expanded role for the Kathleen High School product from Lakeland, Florida. Miller earned a 72.6 overall PFF defensive grade in 2025, touting an impressive 82.8 run-defense total as well.

Jacksonville lost 2025 second-team all-pro Devin Lloyd in free agency in the offseason after he signed a three-year, $45 million deal with the Carolina Panthers. Lloyd’s departure will allow Miller to double his impact for the Jaguars. A full-time starting role appears likely for the emerging Miller.

Miller played for the Gators from 2017 to 2022, where he served as a versatile defender and valuable special teamer. In his redshirt senior season, he appeared in 11 games, including 10 as a starter.
