The new season is approaching and Manchester United have the chance to claim their 14th Premier League title.
Led by Michael Carrick, the club have renewed hope and will play in the Champions League next season following a third place finish in the previous campaign.
Whilst Casemiro left Old Trafford at the end of last season, Andrey Santos appears to be on his way to the stadium to play for the club on a permanent basis.
Whilst the quality of the squad may be exceptionally high, however, with players such as Senne Lammens and Bryan Mbeumo all featuring, injuries can play a huge part throughout a campaign.
Last season demonstrated this perfectly with Matthijs de Ligt spending a large portion of the season out with a back injury, which needed surgery and caused him to miss the World Cup.
Other big names also picked up injuries in the season including Luke Shaw, Benjamin Sesko, and Leny Yoro impacting the side whilst subsequently impacting each player’s form.
Now, former Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has officially announced his return from injury with him posting images of himself playing in training on Instagram.
Van de Beek previously picked up a tendon injury that has kept him out for six months, causing him to miss the latter stages of the previous campaign and heavily impacting any chance of him making the World Cup squad.
Playing for Girona, the former Manchester United man made just two appearances last season (with injuries playing a huge part in that) whilst he made 35 appearances during the 2024-25 season, his first at the club.
Donny van de Beek and Girona will now prepare for the upcoming campaign, a season where the club will look to make an automatic return to LaLiga following relegation in the 2025-26 season.
