Former Nebraska forward transfers to Arizona

A former Nebraska forward has committed to play at Arizona next season. Ugnius Jarusevicius has signed with the Wildcats, according to reporter Pete Nakos.

Jarusevicius missed the start of the 2025-26 season due to a back injury. He appeared in one game in December and was shut down for the rest of the season. The initial plan was for him to preserve his eligibility and return for the 2026-27 season.

He came to the Huskers from Central Michigan. He earned first-team all-MAC honors while there, scoring 16.2 points and averaging 7.3 rebounds per game. He also had a. 537 field-goal percentage with 26.7 minutes per game.

Jarusevicius was a surprise signing for the Huskers last off-season. While his departure was a shocking development, Fred Hoiberg and company have been aggressive in rebuilding the roster using the transfer portal.
