Former Notre Dame WR Malachi Fields goes to New York Giants in draft

Former Notre Dame Fighting Irish wide receiver Malachi Fields has been selected by the New York Giants in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Fields was taken 10th in round and 74th overall.

Fields spent just one season with the Fighting Irish after transferring in from Virginia. At Notre Dame, Fields had 36 receptions for 630 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games, for 17.5 yards per reception and 52.5 yards per game.

For his career, Fields played in 48 games, winding up with 165 receptions for 2,479 yards and 16 touchdowns.
